For over 100 years, African Americans have not been represented on the State Capital grounds. This must change. The cost of the African American History Plaza will be 4 million dollars. We will raise 2 million dollars.

In Oklahoma, we believe in diversity. The African American History Plaza will show the world that we believe in diversity

We are celebrating Martin Luther King's birthday and Black History Month by raising 2 million dollars.

Over 4,000 people signed petitions saying that this is a needed Centennial project and one that Oklahoma needs RIGHT NOW,
